It was 84 degrees today in Minneapolis, and if the weather forecast is right, the high in three days will be 48 degrees. The dynamic temperature fluctuation here is definitely preparing me for the worst this winter. But what does that really mean? I can't conceive of the "worst" and I don't have too many words to describe cold besides adjectives like frickin', mind-numbing, and such.
No philosophy today, just random thoughts.

My friend Matt had a phrase for really cold: "nut cold." I don't know exactly what it means -- presumably something related to "freezing my nuts off" -- but it's very colorful.
