As some of you may know, I am the dramaturg for next semester's production of Dario Fo's The Pope and the Witch. The Catholic League has been bombarding the director of the show, the department head, and even the president of the university with emails expressing outrage that an educational institution would promote "hate speech" in the form of this "anti-Papist" play. I will be addressing this issue along with many other issues that Fo commented on in his play text. It is our intention to engage in conversations about all of the issues surrounding this play. This is a university production that promotes education and dialogue about all topics of social worth. If you find information about the Pope or see some news element that you think might be relevant to our work here in Minneapolis, please send me the link or drop me a line.
For now, I've added an RSS feed to my blog that will publish news on Pope Benedict XVI.

Both Will and all my pope-ish news in one place! I've finally found my Eden. Now get that damn graffiti off your building. I saw it on Saturday and it offends the senses.
Yo,
Can't remember if I mentioned this, but I was appointed to the founding board of Live Action Set. We're gonna come see "Pope and the Witch" as a board bonding adventure. But I'm Catholic, so I'll just be outside protesting.
